History
TURN Community Services was founded in 1973 by parents of children with disabilities who were seeking community alternatives to institutionalization. In 1974, TURN incorporated as a Utah nonprofit to support persons with disabilities of all ages to live, work, and play within their communities.

In 2001, Iron Parke Corporation, a Cedar City nonprofit since 1984, merged with TURN followed in 2002 by the programs of the Washington County ARC. These merges brought in nearly 200 staff and clients to the TURN family.

Today, TURN supports over 500 clients in Kane, Washington, Iron, Garfield, Beaver, Sevier, Salt Lake, Weber and Davis counties. By the end of 2009, TURN will be operating a residential program in Box Elder, have a new group home in St. George and will be in the secure document destruction business.
