11th Annual Thanksgiving Celebration in SLC
On Friday, November 17th, TURN's Salt Lake Hourly Services Program prepared a Thanksgiving Feast for clients and their staff. There was turkey, mashed potatoes and gravy, green bean casserole, stuffing, sweet potatoes, cranberry sauce, rolls, drinks, and of course, every one's favorite, pumpkin pie with whipped cream. We also had the treat of Ms. Margaret Edmundson attending to tell us a story during the dinner!
This year we served 140 individuals! Without this dinner some individuals would not receive a Thanksgiving meal. Everyone left with a full belly and smiles on their faces.
We would like to extend a huge thank you to our loyal donors this year, Tiffany Barnes with SHARE.org, and Joie Bradford. Both of them have donated for the past 3 years to make our annual Thanksgiving dinner free of charge for our clients and staff. We also had an anonymous donor who helped make this all possible. Without your donations this dinner would not be such a huge success! Also, thank you to our volunteers from the University of Utah! We really appreciate your help!
