Meet Jeff Steed

Jeff Steed is a member of Kirton & McConkie's Tax and International practice sections. His practice emphasizes a combination of tax, legal, and financial strategies for both domestic and foreign clients. Jeff advises an exclusive private clientele in regard to their estates, private businesses, trusts, and charities.

He is licensed before the United States Tax Court and also assists his clients in tax controversy matters whenever appropriate, including voluntary disclosure proceedings involving foreign assets.

He serves as general counsel and sits on boards of directors for large private for-profit and nonprofit organizations. Jeff also represents prominent financial institutions, investment companies/trusts, and public charities having a global presence.

He has served over the years in various capacities with the Utah State Bar, including as past chairman of the Section on Nonprofit Organizations. He is actively involved with development and planned giving offices for large universities, religious institutions, and other global nonprofits.

Jeff is a frequent speaker on topics involving areas of estate planning, cross-border finance, private enterprise, trusts, asset protection, nonprofits, foreign investment, and multi-jurisdictional practice. He has published numerous articles on these subjects. He has been recognized as one of Utah's Legal Elite for estate planning and non-profit and as a Mountain States Super Lawyer for estate planning and taxation.
