Toastmasters at TURN

“Patience is not about how long you wait, but how you behave while you are waiting”.

The “Thought of the Day” for September’s 'TURN Dreamers' Toastmasters meeting was chosen by club member Jennifer, who then wrote it on the board and helped us understand its meaning. What a great moment and achievement for Jennifer!

The 'TURN Dreamers’ Toastmaster's club goal is to help people receiving TURN’s services to become better communicators and more effective self-advocates and to help employees learn communication and leadership skills that will help them in their personal life and in their jobs.

Toastmasters International is a non-profit educational organization that teaches public speaking and leadership skills through a worldwide network of meeting locations. Since 1924, Toastmasters International has helped people of all backgrounds become more confident in front of an audience.

TURN Community Services sponsors two Toastmasters clubs, the TURN Toastmasters in Salt Lake City, and the TURN Dreamers in Provo. Both of the TURN clubs have seen confidence and communication miracles take place among our staff and the people we support!
